Hooray for the sunshine coming out! It’s finally bright and cheery outside and I have been itching to crack out some of my summer wardrobe to celebrate it. Bring on the sailor slacks and crop tops and throw caution to the wind!
As you will have seen earlier on the blog, Abandon Ship has just launched their new Kewpie range and I am absolutely smitten with these fat babies. I was hot off the mark to snap up this awesome top and a high waisted pencil skirt to match and I literally cannot be happier with how cute they look on. I usually rock these high waisted trousers from Tara Starlet with a plain top because I’ve always struggled to find something kitsch, casual and cute to wear with it but all my worries have been quashed with this adorable mini tee. I’ve never worn a crop top before because I always thought they were a little unflattering, but it seems they look amazing on if you rock them in a vintage way… mind, I would say that!
White trousers for me are usually a no no because I’m normally a messy betty, but given the cuteness of these I know I have to be extra careful on the days they come out. One day I’ll learn to be a lady heehee!
The cherry on top has got to be in the form of this milkshake clutch picked up at New Look. I love it when high street brands go a little off piste and create something much more playful and fun. There’s just not enough of that any more! I’m really excited by the sight of their new banana, strawberry and PINEAPPLE clutch bags. Their only available online and I foresee them selling out very quickly… on your marks ladies!!
So there you have it, a short and sweet peek at what I’m wearing this week. I hope the sun comes out for you soon so you can get your summer wardrobe out of hibernation… in fact I hope it sticks around here too, I’m getting bored of wearing big heavy coats and thick tights all the time!
Suntan lotion and melting ice cream love!
