Today is Small Business Saturday, an international day encouraging people to support small and local businesses instead of hitting up all the usual high street and online shop… And with the Edinburgh Etsy Pop Up open for business this weekend, you can do your bit in helping the small start ups like me from the city and snap up some incredible handmade gifts at the same time!
Open today from 10 – 6 and closing tomorrow, Sunday 7th December (open at 12 noon) at 5pm, you can pop into our Rose Street store and discover products from our incredible local artists showcase. Everything you see is for sale and you wont be disappointed! We’re super excited to have Edinburgh based photographer Paul of Marrz Photo photograph the store to show it in all it’s glory before we sell out of everything. We’ve been open since Friday and I’m proud to say that stock is flying out the door! However, the event isn’t just for shoppers; on both Saturday and Sunday, ladies will be able to pop in for vintage hair and make up at a snip thanks to my favourite local salon Lipstick, Locks and Lashes who will be getting you glam for £5 – £10… An irrisitable way to start your weekend! I’ve already had my hair done in victory rolls and a beautiful Besame Cosmetics make over thanks to Tina, Jenny and Loretta at the launch event and I felt a million bucks!
A little peek at our selection of jewellery, furniture, accessories and home wear makers at the event . . . like you need more reasons to come!
As you can see there is something for everybody, making it the perfect spot for your Christmas shopping. But if you cant come along to see us, do remember, these artists are all selling online within their own Etsy shops too!
