As you will have seen from my Instagram account, lately I have been all go, go, go! I’ve been driving accross America, popped over to Glasgow, then hopped down to London and Brighton in the last couple of months. I’ve been having an absolute blast, but I am pretty worn out! So, when I had to travel up to Aberdeen for a wedding, I decided I needed a little treat to perk me up; a pamper session at Lipstick, Lashes and Locks always makes me feel great, but this time I decided to go for a little lashes TLC too!
I’ve been blessed with some pretty long eyelashes, but true to that classic pin up girl look, I love to make them bigger and fuller as humanly possible to get a good flutter when I wink. I’ve tried lots of mascara’s that have fibers in them to add a little extra length, but they often leave streak marks on my glasses (…Is that just me?) And I love false eyelashes, but I find them incredibly fiddly to put on and I often find myself pulling them off half way through the evening because they’ve been irritating the heck out of me. So, I booked in to Lipstick Lashes and Locks chat to Dee about what was the best luscious lash treatment for me, and after a discussion about longer false eyelashes getting smushed up against my glasses, we decided that instead of a lash extension treatment, a lashes lift would be the right solution. I’m going to cut right to the chase here and tell you now I am completely OBSESSED with the results!
The process is really simple. For a lash perm, Dee measured the length of my lashes and selected the perfect curved shield for my shaping. She then separated out each lash to make sure they are perfectly fanned out for a full look and applied a conditioner which not only curls the eyelashes, it thickens, lengthens and strengthens them too. The whole process takes around half an hour and the results last as long as the hair-cycle of your lashes, which is around 6 to 8 weeks depending on how quickly you shed hairs.
Now that I’ve tried it my morning routine has changed quite a bit – I don’t need to faff around with extra make up or spend ages trying to glue stuff on my face (WIN!), but most fabulously, I look super glamourous even without any make up on at all. They’re absolutely no effort to maintain, making them a great option for those days where I rest make up free. But, best of all, if I’m going all out and add a little mascara on top, they’re so full and powerful I can pretty much change the tides!
For those of you looking for a change, I’d recommend popping in for a consultation and treating yourself, especially with all those Christmas nights out on the horizon. Now that I’ve tried it I’ve seen how much of a game-changer it is and I am absolutely hooked!

Thanks so much for taking care of me Dee, I’ll be back in a few weeks time for my next session! xox
