We’re all going on a summer holiday …. Well not quite, but a day of sun does make a big difference in my world. As soon as I see him peeping out from behind the clouds I’m raking through my summer dresses faster than you can imagine. I’m so tired of warm clothes and thick layers! So to show some encouragement for long hot summer day’s, I urge you all to put on a pretty little number as soon as those rays hit the ground. Hopefully the sun will see it’s worth hanging around for!
This is what I wore on Sunday afternoon for the craft party. I love the retro cut and pattern of this dress, it’s oh so very 50’s and cute to boot. Believe it or not, this baby is from Emily And Fin, a great little British company which has a big talent for taking influences from the past to create collections from the present. It’s really well made and has a great lining underneath (linings are so underrated these days!) giving it a beautiful shape without having to wear an underskirt. I’ve got my eye on a few pieces in their latest collection … isn’t this cowboy dress insanely good? Better start saving my pennies for that cheeky investment!
Easily accessorised with my vintage scallop sunglasses, original ‘Fly Away Holiday’s’ bag and topped off with my bubblegum pink beret from Hello Strumpet I’m sure the sun will be smiling on me today. All the palm trees, parasols and pool side babes on the print are making me super jealous for a day at the sea side. . . hopefully soon!
