lush review festive funtimes christmas gift ideas inspirationWell blow me down! Can you believe there is only a few weeks left till Christmas? With party season upon us I’m a big believer in pampering as much as playing. So, to get in the festive spirit this year I’ve been splashing out on some seriously delicious Lush goodies so I’m ready for the cold winter days and the sparkly late nights. I want to be feeling good enough to be singing Fa La La La La till the wee small hours, and I don’t want to be doing it with dry skin and tired eyes!

make a wish lush cosmetics bath bomb gift wish list lush spa review chrismtas present inspiration edinburgh I’ve always totally adored Lush, so naturally my first port of call to stock up on sumptuous bath time essentials is the wonderful store in Edinburgh. As all the products are handmade, against animal testing and jam packed with essential oils, sweet scents and fun colours it’s easy to see why I fell in love. There’s just so much to see and play with! And now, with all their new Christmas products out, I am totally bowled over with the incredible new boxes and soaps in the collection. I want to try it all! And I hope my dreams will all come true with my amazing Make A Wish bubble bar, which not only turns the bath water pink, but it has also lasted me 4 tubs – that’s a lot of wishes!!

lush cosmetics christmas 2014 review gift boxesWith bath bombs and bubble bars and sparkles a plenty, here are a few of my favourite things…

happy christmas lush gift box review present ideasI think I’m most obsessed with the range of FUN soap range, because not only can you mould the stuff like Playdough, you can use it as a bath melt, soap, and shampoo, plus the green one smells insanely good! Top of my wish list this year (and incidentally, already in my home and in use – early gifts are the greatest!), is Festive Funtimes, a box described as ‘and explosion of FUN’ and I am excited to share it lives up to the statement! With 4 different kinds of Fun (including a  gold one and a snow man one!), a squidgy snowman jelly and a pot of Whoosh my mornings have been super energised and extremely entertaining. I might have also picked up a cheeky box of Festive Cheer for the evenings too – well with a Hot Toddy shower gel and the uber tasty Yog Nog soap it would have been rude not to! When you smell it you’ll see why these couldn’t wait…

Still on my wish list and ready for the season is is the Happy Christmas box. As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of the three Ps: purple, packaging and pom poms, so I squealed with delight when Olivia showed me this! Isn’t it so many levels of perfect? It has everything a girl needs for a night out on the town this winter with Snow White shower gel, Rub Rub Rub shower scrub, Baked Alaska soap, Million Dollar moisturizer and to make those kisses under the mistletoe extra sweet, some of Santa’s Lip Scrub. All I need is my girlies and a dance hall to complete that set!

whoop whoop christmas box from lush review gift ideasLike all Lush products, each item has been so carefully designed and put together, especially the boxes. For instance, this amazing Whoop Whoop box is full of happiness! What a surprise! I’m always interested to hear how Lush come up with their ideas and I found out that this year had 3 very different inspiration points for their gift box collections: a golden and luxurious line with a classic feel thanks to Hans Christian Anderson and long-standing Christmas traditions, a surprising and magnificent display of wonder from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory stage show, and a colourful burst of psychedelic happiness with a Nordic twist. Isn’t that just awesome? I seriously wish I worked here as a designer!

first snow lush cosmetics review christmas gift ideas edinburgh spaMeeting Jules and the team to experience all the new products has been an absolute treat. All the staff are so friendly and chatty in Lush stores it’s great to know you’ll always get great help with what you’re looking for, making it the perfect place to pick up gifts for your favourite people. The best part? Wrapping up your purchases in furoshiki knot wraps and using them as headscarves when you’ve finished its contents. Fashion never smelled so good!

lush spa edinburgh gift ideas review perfect christmas present for him for her for usWhat makes the Edinburgh store so special is that it has a famous Lush Spa down stairs too. I’ve stepped into a whole new universe of pampering and it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen! With several different treatments available and each one tailored to your personal needs and preferences it’s hard to go wrong with the investment. To give you an idea of what’s in store, one treatment involves a massage and a room full of bubbles. Another a massage and a room full of amazing dry ice! And the one I’d like to try the most, a holistic mindful room where they use OM chimes and choreograph the treatment to music. I just found out they have their own record label and make all the music especially for each treatment available, making it a truly bespoke experience. Isn’t that incredible? I’ve seen the gift cards, and I know exactly what I’d like from santa this year!!

Have you ever been in the Lush Spa? Or if you pamper at home, what’s your go to treat for the season? I’m looking for some bath time inspiration so come hit me up!

Rub a dub dub, I’m off to the tub…

Oooh it all looks so gooood! My skin is SUPER sensitive, if it isn’t Lush or Original Source, I can’t touch it. It makes me so sad, especially since Lush can be quite expensive 🙁
These goodies look amazing though, and it looks like you had a great time in the store itself! Everyone is always so cheerful, there! It freaks Seeg out so I usually go in by myself unless his parents are visiting, his mum loves it too ^^
Amazing post! It’s made me itch to get back out there! I need more Rub, Rub, Rub!! It smells SO GOOD!

Honestly, I spend more time in the bath than I do out of it at the moment hahaha! Boo to sensitive skin, but at least you have a good excuse to splash out! You should get one of the make a wish wands, they last ages (I was being lavish at four baths, but you could squeeze more out of it!) Defo worth the investment because the fun lasts longer 😀 Also I just picked up some bubblegum lipscrub today because my lips are super chapped and it’s a taste sensation! I’m not sure if I’m supposed to eat it but I do 😛 YUM!!
