Date night with my mister is always a lot of fun; not only do I get to have a laugh with the funniest person I know, but I also get to dress up and go all out! This week I thought I would let you take a peek at what I wore out with him on a night out at the Tiki Bar 😀
As you’ll see, I started out with my gold glasses and hair down when I was having my pictures taken for this post, but after a little glass of wine I decided to quiff my hair and switch to my really quirky wing tips. You can see that my wild side is expressed quite quickly haha! I think it’s amazing how fast a daytime look can be turned into an evening one with only a couple of little tweaks. Never underestimate the power of accessories and back combing!
I blogged about both the Mod Cloth dress and Fred Perry cardigan a while back, but this is the first blog post where you can actually see them on me! I’m really pleased that they work so well together too – they both have quite bold colours which I think adds a really playful edge. Don’t be afraid to mix and match ladies! When in doubt, What’sApp a picture to your most trusted bestie… A true friend will not be frightened to tell you if it doesn’t work, and that’s nothing to get upset about either!
My shell belt is from waaay back in H&M and my little bag is actually an iPad case from Kate Spade. I absolutely adore it and love to use it as a clutch bag when I’m not using it to hold my sketchbook and pencils in my day-to-day canvas bag. There is no way I could afford the proper handbag version (plus the shape is not as nice if you ask me) so this is a great way to compromise 😀
Coupled with a boy in a quirky retro styled shirt from Topman you can pretty much guarantee a night full of good times and happy days… just add rum 😉
