Hello! It’s been ages since I’ve done one of these catch up posts, I’ve kind of lost my rhythm a little but hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of it all soon. I hope you’ve been enjoying all the new posts I’ve been sharing though! As I mentioned at the start of the year I’ve been wanting to make things a little more personal on here… between sharing outfit posts, top tips and trying to figure out what things to try and achieve in my twenties the blog has evolved quite a lot lately. I’m moving further and further out of my comfort zone, but I think it’s going well :B
Beside blogging, this past week I’ve been working on a really lovely order for a wedding… well, in this instance it’s a set of hen do goodie bags, but I’ve been having a lot of fun packaging our brooches especially for the occassion! It’s lovely to get the chance to do these things, it makes me love my job even more!!
We’ve also been very slowly doing up Vivid HQ. We’re talking seriously slowly, but I bought the most amazing polka dot rug from the first photo (£20! Ikea!) which I am pretty darn thrilled about. It’s a great start though, right?! There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to tackle all the things I’d like to get done, but now that spring’s finally here it’s going to be a lot more enjoyable painting the windows when we get round to it!
Oooh! I got sent this beautiful vintage Babycham drinks mat from the wonderful Claire of The Bellwether and I’m absolutely smitten with it. Being an avid collector of all things vintage – and especially things for my Tiki Kitchen – I’m thrilled to give this little guy a new home. It really IS the happiest drink in the world 😀

This weekend we ventured over to Fyul on Bread Street in Edinburgh and fell head over heels in love with the incredible food and phenomenally stylish decor. Doors on the walls! Tweed jackets on the chairs! Old school floors and typewriters … there’s nothing not to love. It’s so amazing to find more places like this popping up around town now – we’ve got some seriously talented makers about. Now we’ve got some seriously amazing places to sit and create in too 😀 If you’re visiting, this is defo one to add to your hit list of cake-tastic hot spots!

Last, but certainly not least, I’ve been secretly revising for my car theory test on the side too… I’m probably the worlds worst reviser because I get so easily distracted and it drives me crazy! Needless to say it’s been quite the challenge and I’m really nervous about it. It’s been a long LONG time since I had to do any kind of exam, so I’m a little bit anxious with how it will go down. Hopefully I’ll do well and not have to take another! Ticking this one off my giant ‘2014 To Do’ list would be amazing (followed by the driving part, which still makes me sick to the stomach even thinking about it!) Send me some good vibes peeps 😀 I will keep you updated with how I get on (I don’t want to tell you about it till it’s done so I don’t jinx it!)
